2019 -Interview for CITYCELEBRITY
– What do you aspire to as an artist?
To the opportunity to escape from the shadows of routine, the possibility of joy, the possibility of experiences, the opportunity to look and see a little differently. Balancing on the edges of reality and some subtle matters. To touch the taut film between the familiar and the inexplicable. Breathe the air of another world without damaging the sensitive membrane. To see the elusive, and go unnoticed. Look beyond the land of deep-Sea Fish.
– What inspired you?
In the process of shooting almost always in the subconscious whirl of sounds, whispering voices that affect the plots. I sign many pictures with quotes that influenced the result. Often it is a synthesis.
For example, in this picture – the Master and Margarita, Malevich, Miller, Sugimoto, the Bible, the rustling of the foil-this is what lies on the surface and POPs up spontaneously. Of course, many ideas are worked out in advance, then wait a long time for suitable conditions for implementation. Mostly inspired by music and books, visual art look more for fun, especially when the concept is implemented deeply and with a share of aesthetics.
– What is the most difficult thing for you in the work of an artist?
In General – overcoming. Overcoming the lack of time, ideas, money, knowledge. Everything is the result of overcoming, a kind of gift of the world for perseverance and perseverance. Even if something goes easily-it was preceded by an invisible battle.
– What cool question would you like to ask other artists in our tape?
Why do you get creative, it’s almost always irrational?
