Explanation to infographics.
Photos have a limited number of prints in each size, after a certain amount of prints the price increases.
For example, the size L includes prints in the sizes from 60х40 to 90х60 cm, the first four copies cost 250 €, the 5th and 6th – 500 €, 7th – 700 €, 8th – 1000 €, 9th – 2000 € and the last 10th cost 3000 €.
+ 2AR (Artist Proof) means that the author can make 2 prints for his own purposes that are excluded and are not counted in the printed copies.
At the page of each photo the sizes and their limited number of prints are given. If the client needs more, he can buy it in the secondary market or an auction, if the owner wants to sell it.
The author controls the printing personally.
Particular attention is paid to the paper. Dozens of samples are looked through and it takes many days and hours to find the best option.
All photos are printed on high quality archival paper (acid-free paper) like Hahnemuhle, Fujiflex and similar to them.
Each photo is supplied with a numbered Certificate of Authentication and an author’s signature.
In addition, you can choose the design, but since there are huge variety of options, each case is discussed separately.
The print is ordered in accordance with the current prices of the laboratory. The buyer can do it personally, if necessary with the author’s advice.
Recommendations for self-ordering
All photos are printed on high quality acid-free (archival) paper, so it is strongly recommended to use museum and archive-quality materials for design to preserve the print and complete a dignified composition.
The styling can be of customer’s choice, as it should be harmonized with the interior.
A white museum mat board with backboard is a preferable design for the author. Window mat should be cut to fit the print size with additional 3-5 mm for the top and sides and 10-15 mm for the bottom. The bigger field is available for picture caption. The left and the right fields should be equal. The image should be put in the optical center heightwise (the top field is slightly less than the bottom one).
If the buyer does not want to show the caption, the print is framed in the mat board with the window equal to the photo size and is placed in the optical center.
Window mat hinged to the backboard with acid-free glue or tape, is usually used, so the mat can be substituted to change the design if necessary.
Frame. A frame with an external thin black profile is recommended. The museum glass should be used to block harmful ultraviolet radiation and preserve the print. Anti-glare glass is allowed, but this affects the durable ideal state of the print.
